YOCHAI BIRNBAUM, MD, is Professor of Medicine, John S. Dunn Chair in Cardiology Research and Education, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. His interests include clinical cardiology, cardiac intensive care, echocardiography, myocardial protection against ischemia-reperfusion injury, and clinical ECG reading with special emphasis on acute ischemia and interpretation of ECGs of patients with permanent pacemakers/ICDs.
